The zingy scent of fresh lemongrass is often linked to summer itching, as traditionally, the plant and its oil have been used as a natural and non-toxic mosquito repellent.
What are the benefits of lemongrass and glycerine combined?
Lemongrass has a fresh, lemony, and herbaceous fragrance
It is toning and has antiseptic and deodorising properties when applied to the skin.
Glycerine helps to preserve our products by limiting the growth of bacteria.
It's also an effective humectant, helping to keep the skin soft and supple
Glycerine is a brilliant carrier that locks in and transports the ingredients it's mixed with to the skin. So, lemongrass boosts glycerine with its refreshing scent, while glycerine carries lemongrass' lovely properties to the skin. Win-win!

Where do we get our glycerine?
The glycerine purchased from our English and Croatian manufacturing sites* can come from different European suppliers, depending on availability. It is plant-based (mainly from rapeseed oil, but sometimes other vegetable oils such as sunflower), GMO-free, palm-free and of excellent quality.
*With several manufacturing sites across the globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.
